South West Festival of Japan 2019当日レポ！初めてイベントに参加してみて
Bunbury 市と世田谷区との姉妹都市記念をお祝いするJapanese Festivalのメインイベント「South West Festival of JAPAN 2019」当日の様子です。
日本人として何か自分にできる事はあるかな〜とボランティアに申し出てみて本当に良かった！
Bunburyに来て一番最初の思い出深い大きなイベントとなりました。
In this article, you will see what’s the main event of the Bunbury Japanese festival called “South West Festival of JAPAN ” looked like.The festival first came about to celebrates the City of Bunbury’s sister city, Setagaya.
As a Japanese, I am so happy to be involved in this festival.

Opening Demos of South West Festival of JAPAN 2019
Opening 1. Japanese Martial Art 空手の型「岩鶴（GanKaku)」
メイン会場はアートギャラリーにて、ギャリー市長のご挨拶の後に空手道の型の演武と日本太鼓の演奏で始まりました。
It was opened at the base location of the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery. Started with Bunbury city’s Mayor Gary Brennan’s speech and after that Karate performance and Taiko On Drummers performance.
実は3日くらい前に急遽、飛び入りが決定した私。２回目の午後の回で（かなり堂々と）間違えてしまいました！！…が、1回目は何とか最後まで集中して出来ました。

もう、技は全然だめだめ！だけど…
今回の一番の目標「堂々と最後までやり通す」だけは出来たかな。
思いがけず、ABC放送局さんからインタビューがあったり、わざわざAmeizing!! と喜んでくださった方がいた（驚涙!!）ので…すごーく迷ったけど、やってよかったとします。これを機に細々と鍛錬しよーっ。

こちらに来て何かとお世話になっている、Kazutakaシェフによる巻き寿司のデモンストレーション！
上手に巻いたりスライスするコツを学び、最後に振舞ってもらったお寿司を食べられました！美味しかった〜^^

@The Rusticanaではスタンプをもらいに行っただけになってしまいましたが、
本格的な着物の着付けとお茶席が人気でした！

いろんなお店で日本らしい文化がちらほら見つけられるのが楽しかった ^^
I couldn’t complete all of shops which gives you stamps although I enjoyed to see different Japanese cultural displays in different shops.

けど、お祭り気分を親子揃って盛り上げてくれるので奮発しました。
An’s Big Fairy Floss was too expensive ($10 each ) for me …but today is SO SPECIAL !! I decided to buy it for my little kids.

最後に…
この日の締めは夫のYUさんが働いている@rightonburgerで彼が考案したお祭り限定メニューのチキンカツバーガーを食べに行って終わりました！
たくさん食べに来てくれた人がいたお陰で、あっという間に売り切れました！彼もBunburyで初めての挑戦に成功しました。
Bunburyに来て一番最初の大きなイベントが日本のお祭りになるとも思ってなかったし、空手を披露することになるとも全然、思ってなかった。笑 けれど、ちょうど引っ越しも終わって落ち着いてきたタイミングでイベントにも飛び込みボランティアとして参加させてもらえて本当に楽しかった！です。
どんな形であれ、コミュニティーの行事に前向きな気持ちで関わってみることは色々な人との出会いやチャンスを広げられる素晴らしいチャンスだと思いました。少しずつ、この街に溶け込んで永住権への道も切り開いて行きたいな！

At the end of the day, I had a SP OFF MENU of @rightonburger as my husband’s first challenge at his work place.Thankfully all the burgers SOLD OUT within one and half day!
We didn’t know that there is such a big Japanese event holding at this time in Bunbury before we moved. (Actually it’s happened just perfect timing almost 2 months after we moved ) also I could involved in the festival as a part of committee. How they are friendly and warm.
However we are still on the way to be a permanent resident, I believe just GO and SHARE our good culture and experience first is not only FUN. It will be a chance to meet a great people and getting to know more about this community.
